Due to expansion, we're looking for a freelance designer to help us on various projects. We're looking for a talented designer with a creative approach and eye for detail who can work effectively alongside design, programming and SEO staff.

As a Creative Web Designer you'll be responsible for a range of design duties such as:

• Conceptual designs
• Existing website maintenance
• Building websites using standards-based semantic code
• Logo/branding design
• Cross browser/platform compatibility testing

As well as great design skills, you'll need to bring with you an enthusiastic approach and willingness to work hard. Good communication skills are essential for liaising closely with clients at the design stage and throughout a project.

Essential skills required for this position:

• Solid experience working within a commercial web design environment
• Extensive experience coding with CSS and XHTML
• Good knowledge of using Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash and Illustrator
• Evidence of an artistic flair and creative approach to your design
• Good project management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and achieve tight deadlines
• Good experience working on a PC using Microsoft XP/Vista OS

As a Creative Web Designer you should also be self motivated, organised and customer focused. Attention to detail and an innovative approach are also required.

Any of the following would be beneficial to your application:

• Knowledge and experience of SEO techniques and strategies
• Experience with integrating web design with back-end coding (ASP.NET/ASP/PHP/JavaScript/etc.)
• Experience with working on bespoke E-Commerce/CMS websites
• Experience with implementing video on websites
• Experience with developing website proposals with the ability to estimate project timelines

Competitive salary depending on experience. Initially we're looking for someone to work part-time on a freelance basis. There's the strong possibility of a more permanent / full-time position for the right person.
