Tim Ault - MD

My background is in two main areas: IT and Education.

I have many years experience of designing, building and supporting IT systems, both large and small.

These days I don't do much programming, although I still like to roll my sleeves up occasionally.

I keep closely involved in all the major software development projects that Alberon is working on, to ensure the quality of what we deliver to our customers.

For some businesses, I work as an external advisor on IT strategy, helping businesses make the right decisions about their IT and get the maximum value from their investment in IT. One way businesses use my skills is as an external advisor on major development projects by a third party.

It's always immensely satisfying to see a new website or software application go live. It's great to see people able to do in seconds things that used to take them ages to do. It's great to see a website visited and used by hundreds or even many thousands of people a day. Above all it's great to work for many different clients and to gain an insight into what makes them and their businesses tick!

Personal Interests

Languages: Fluent Italian and French, some Russian and Spanish.

Training: Many years experience teaching / training adults and young people.

Hobbies and Interests: tennis, music especially choral, walking, cycling, making beer and cider
