Digital Project Manager / Account Manager
Managing projects and client relationships for web design & software development projects.
Alberon is a thriving software development company. We build websites and software applications and we work with a range of companies, charities and other organisations, mostly in the Oxford area. We’re looking for a dynamic and effective project manager / account manager to join our team of 10 people.
We’re looking for someone with a range of skills and interests. The main component of the job is a project management role. However we’re looking for someone who is willing to get involved in all aspects of the business. The job will involve:
Project management: This is the key element of the role. You will be the main point of contact for clients, and will work closely with them and the rest of the team to deliver projects with the features agreed, on time and to budget. Good people skills are a necessity.
You should have experience of project management. We are looking for someone with proven record of identifying and solving problems and getting things done. Any formal project management qualification would be a bonus.
Programme management: You will oversee all of our projects and work with the rest of the team to determine schedules and set priorities based on the needs of the business and our clients.
Managing relationships with our clients: A further key element of the role is client account management. We’ll need you to keep in regular touch with our clients, getting to know their business and their needs, so we can continue to exceed their expectations in terms of what we do for them.
Communications: We need someone who is a good communicator, both verbal and written. It would also be helpful if you are good with words, and able to help write case studies and other copy for our website, newsletters and other materials.
Other skills: Technical IT skills are not a requirement, however you need to be comfortable and fluent with IT, and enthusiastic about how it can be used to can help businesses to be more efficient and more successful.

The office is in central Oxford within walking distance of public transport. Unusually for Oxford, there is parking as well.
Hours: 35 per week. We’re quite flexible about working hours, within reason. Part time working may be possible.
Salary: £24,000 – £32,000 depending on experience.
Holiday entitlement: 20 days, plus bank holidays.
