Sales / Business Development for Online Educational Directory
The Summer Schools Directory is a successful website used by people who want to find summer courses in the UK and overseas. Performing Arts, Music and English as a Foreign Language are all strongly represented on the site, along with academic courses and many other types of course.
The site is free for visitors to use. Institutions (schools, colleges and universities) running courses pay to be listed on the site. We are looking for someone to help us to build up the paid listings part of the website. So the job involves:
- Contacting current advertisers re renewals for this year
- Building relationships with key advertisers
- Bringing new advertisers onto the site
We’re looking for someone to work part-time, around 15 hours a week, flexible hours, over the next 6 months and potentially longer term. Our offices are just off St Clements (central Oxford), and it would be possible for you to work from here. Working elsewhere (e.g. from home) would also be possible some of the time.
Proven experience in sales / marketing is not needed but you need to be comfortable ringing people up. Experience in education would be useful as would a strong interest in one or more of the subject areas covered on the site. An interest in how websites and technology work would be helpful.
We would also be interested to hear from people with a particular interest in classical music.
We’re looking for someone to start in January 2020.
