Gaught Conlon WordPress website

Gaught Conlon is an independent consultancy advising organisations working in developing countries. They needed their existing HTML website converting to a high quality Content Management System (CMS).

brief

Gaught Conlon wanted to have the ability to update their website’s content themselves, without having to rely on a web developer. In order to do this, they needed a user friendly content management system that could easily be updated.

In addition, they requested advice on the current website layout and structure – they wanted to ensure that the website worked in a logical manner.

As well as the website build, Gaught Conlon asked Alberon to host the website and provide ongoing support. Their staff also needed training in the use of the new system, to make them as self-sufficient as possible.

technical notes

The existing website was moved from static HTML (created with RapidWeaver) into a bespoke WordPress theme.

Within WordPress, we created several custom post types and used the Advanced Custom Fields plugin to make it as simple as possible for the client to update the different parts of the site.
